Since I started classes at Escuela Superior de Chikung Taichí with Master Haoqing Liu, my life has changed radically.

Diagnosed with hip stenosis and several disc herniations, after years of pain and moving from specialist to specialist, I began practicing by coming to the school twice a week.

The change has been remarkable. I didn’t think I could recover the physical and emotional tone that Chikung Taichí is helping me rebuild, bringing back balance and health.

I’ve been here only a short time, but the results have been fast and concrete—improving the quality of life I needed for daily life. I strongly recommend it to everyone.

Hello. My name is Genoveva. I’m 66 and have osteoarthritis in my knees. I’ve practiced Chikung Taichí with Master Liu at the school for many years.

The first thing I noticed was improved concentration and relaxation—surprisingly quickly. I remember realizing I was tying my shoes in balance without even thinking about it.

It didn’t stop at balance: it became a broader awareness and control of the body, applied naturally in daily life—giving confidence and helping you use energy where it’s truly needed.

Once you understand Tai Chi, it’s hard to compare it to any other exercise, even therapeutic ones, because you start to see their limitations and unnecessary overstimulation of the body.

To conclude: the benefits and the pleasure of practicing Tai Chi are unmatched. It’s a shame it isn’t more widely known.

In 2008 I approached Chikung–TaiChi with Master Haoqing Liu to deepen my understanding—both as a practitioner and as a professional in physical activity and sport.

He has been a “living source” of knowledge—able to explain new paradigms for healthy physical activity, and the deep reasons behind each detail of the practice.

This has supported our research work and knowledge transfer—from academic lines of investigation to high-performance contexts.

Personally, I feel Tai Chi Chuan and Qigong are an exceptional source of knowledge accumulated over centuries, offering an inexhaustible field of research: therapeutic, martial, philosophical, and sports-related.

It’s encouraging to see international scientific publications in this area grow substantially, helping place the discipline at the level it deserves.

After years of practicing Tai Chi—and answering the same questions—the answer remains: every day is different.

Even with the same sequence, I am different each time, so the practice is different. I keep discovering new things as I grow with the movements.

With time you notice what used to go unnoticed…

In the end, it’s simply my time—time dedicated to myself.

Over thirteen years, I’ve confirmed that Tai Chi is an excellent method to strengthen both body and mind.

Master Haoqing Liu’s method is excellent: simple, didactic, and adapted to each student’s needs and pace. Gradually, without pressure, you develop and refine the quality of your Tai Chi.

It’s hard to put into words what you feel practicing chikungtaichi. After 6 years, I’m finally learning to feel my body, relax muscles and mind, reduce small pains (like migraines), and finish practice energized.

Getting here isn’t easy—it takes daily dedication and phases where it feels like you’re not progressing. But the steps are simple: repeat, repeat, repeat…

Master Liu guides you—correcting, advising—but you must walk the path yourself.

I recommend chikungtaichi to everyone; your life will start to be different.
